Since 1992, the South Windsor Jaycees have been bringing young people together to make a difference not only in the community, but also in the lives of their members. Our goal is to teach leadership skills through community service. The chapter coordinates a wide variety of events throughout the year to meet the needs of both the community and our members.

Thanksgiving Baskets
Community Service: Helping those in need is a key element in the Jaycees program. Whether it’s the elderly, disadvantaged or handicapped we work to make a difference in their lives. Projects, such as Pet Food Drive, Food Drives, Thanksgiving Baskets, Winter Clothing Drive and Adopt-A-Family are all designed to help those in need.

Paws in the Park
Fundraising: Almost $10,000 is donated annually to various local, state, national and international charities. One of our more popular fundraisers is Paws in the Park. Since 2006 over $12,000 was raised for the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation and the South Windsor Bark Park. Other fundraisers have supported Teen Center, Car Seat Safety Program, Hole in the Wall Gang, American Cancer Society, and many more worthy local, state and national charities.

Breakfast W/Santa
Youth: With so many families in the chapter and community we strive to bring or take part in fun community attractions at no cost to those attending. Hundreds of kids each year take part in events like Breakfast/ W Bunny, Santa Letters, Breakfast W/Santa, Heritage Day, School Supply Drive and more.
|
Dinner Social
Socials: Making new friends is one of the greatest benefits from being a part of the Jaycees. Every month members get together for bowling, picnics, whale watches, dinner socials and more. Best of all, the chapter offers discounts to their members.
